I'm trying really hard to understand what my brother wants for this website. But it just feels like whenever I ask him a question he's making a decision on the spot. For instance, I wanted to know what animal they wanted me to use to design a logo for them, and they had no idea. He just listed a bunch of animals to me, and told me that he and his team were arguing which one they wanted to use. Finally one of them decided on a panda, so that's what I'm working with.
Other than that I'm quit proud with what I came up with today. They seem happy with it too.

I feel like I'm successful in what I've created because both of these two designs are modern and cute. I drew inspiration from Duolingo's owl logo with the rounded features and the large eyes. I've done some logo design in the past (but I'm afraid my talents don't really lie there) and have learned that less is more but there are subtle details. For instance, shading, and eye glistening. I didn't use and 2 dimensional shading for these because it would have taken too long but the glistening of the eye on the one on the left really added that bit extra.
I was worried that the logo on the right contains too much detail because the pencil contains too much detail. It still works though, and I even used the colours from the palet, so though the panda looks black at first, there is that subtle suggestion of the company colours.
I also feel like my initial quick drawing designs helped a lot because drawing is quick but having to try and design something and experiment on photoshop just talkes too long.
