I honestly thought that I wouldn't like printmaking, but was pleasantly surprised, and enjoyed not only the freedom of experimentation but also that I felt like I was making cool collage type graphic t-shirt designs. I really enjoyed the layering of materials and elements and the vibrant colours that came out of it. I noticed that I was mostly drawn to image and text and produced few abstract pieces.
I learned today a few different techniques with print making. One is drawing with tools. I really enjoyed that one, but noticed that you had to be very careful when it came to how much ink you applied, otherwise the pattern may not come out. I was also drawn to textured wall paper. I liked the different marks and shapes that you could make with them. I was rather disappointed with myself however that I didn't try this one printmaking technique where you ink a bit of square, take a piece of paper and draw something on the paper. The image would come out looking distorted, like it was made of dust. I really like that affect and hope to try it out in the future
