So there was this one brief that said to take some piece of packaging and reinvent it. At the time everyone was thinking about Universities and how to apply and what to send in, and it made me revisit my CV which I thought was really boring.
I started to look at ways information was shared (websites, pamflets, posters) all of which are really cool ways of representing yourself to a company. But the one thing that really caught my eye were infographics.
An infographic is just an interesting way of representing information, so it could be a chart or a bar graphic or even a subway map. Over the years though, it has evolved into so much more. People have taken colourful, ullustrative approaches and it looks absolutely gorgeous. I decided to make one of my own and send it to companies oand people in charge or have been on charge of HR to let me know what they thought of it.

Some infographics that I like
It took me quite a while just to work on this one project because I haven't done anything like this before. It was basically just a lot of playing around on photoshop. There were many failures, and it's definitely much harder than it looks. For one in my opinion an infographic is only really successful when the image or illustration works with the information or is representative of the information. If it is only a pretty picture then what's the point? for example the carbon footprint infographic to me is successful because the information forms part of the footprint-making the information a little more memorable.
I tried to do this when I illustrated how much of each of the languages I know by making some of the speech bubbles larger than the others.
The layout is also really important as it has to be easy to move around but also aesthetically pleasing, and in a addition the words and information have to be easy to read, short and quick to look at and relevant.
